There are almost 250 developed routes on around 25 separate crags concentrated in the Chinese Mountains & Morte Lake area. The quality of the rock is very high. It’s a solid, coarse Andesite, a type of volcanic basalt which has great friction and interesting texture with amazing and sometimes challenging holds, all in spectacular west coast surroundings. There are mountain and ocean views in every direction.The Quadra Crags are a user-friendly climbing area with grades mostly between 5.6 and 5.10 with a few 11’s and 12s.
