The Resort
Discover the Magic
For generations, the people of the Pacific Northwest Tlingit tribe celebrated the feeling of peace and togetherness found at the nesting sites of birds. They held a deep reverence for the contrast between human connection and nature found at these places and named them “Taku”.
The Experience
Start Exploring Quadra
From the bottom of the ocean to the top of the mountains, there is an activity to suit everyone.
The Island
A Place to Create Lasting Memories
Located just off the shore of Campbell River, Quadra Island rests among the Discovery Islands in the Salish Sea north west from Vancouver, British Columbia. Quadra Island can be reached by air, land or sea.
The Marina
Safe and Sturdy Moorage
Situated on the calm waters of Drew Harbour off Quadra Island’s eastern shore, join fellow boaters in mooring at Taku’s marina. With a pristine harbour, access to all the resort’s amenities, and a short walk to provisions, the area protected by the breakwater of Rebecca Spit offers the perfect stop-over for boaters.
Today is a King Tide. These are predictable occurrences of unusually elevated tides. Luckily for us it's calm today but when combined with a winter storm there's a lot of damage.
Merry Christmas from a very snowy Quadra Island.

Happiest of birthdays to Taku's ultimate host and proud owner.
In the summer you'll find her and Millie greeting guests and if you don't see her she's probably working on the books. She still works so hard to make Taku as special as we all know it to be.
Happy Birthday, Fei!
